WHAT IS PLIABILITY?

Muscle pliability means how well your muscle can adapt to the demands of your sport

Pliable muscles move through a full range of motion and react quickly. If there is tightness and stiffness your muscles cannot contract to 100 percent or completely relax back to zero

Scientific research studies indicate the importance of muscle pliability to optimize body mechanics and overall athletic performance

PLIABILITY vs MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY

Muscle pliability can be thought of as an umbrella term for several qualities, including flexibility, mobility and muscle tissue that is adaptable to the demands on the muscle

 

Flexibility refers to a muscle’s ability to lengthen, with a more flexible muscle being able to lengthen further than a tight muscle

 

Mobility refers to functional movement, the ability to move your joints in the required ranges of motion for sports and training

 

When muscles retain their optimal function and range of motion you build resilience to injury and perform at your best.
